WTB: Late 80s, early 90s

I might be relocating soon, and will have a bit of a commute. Not far, 10 to 20 min drive max. I take public transportation now.
Thing is, I don’t really want to drive my nicer cars and leave it in an open parking lot in the city. Any $1000 to $1500 or so late 80’s/ early 90’s Cadillacs, (or Buicks, Olds…all the same platform after all) available?
I don’t really care too much about the exterior. Don’t want to drive total junk, but dings, scratches, torn seats are fine. More interested in the mechanicals, tires and stuff. If the AC works, that’s a plus, but not a deal breaker. Gas mileage doesnt matter much either.
Not going to build this car up, just drive it, change the fluids. I am located in Charlotte NC
