Folding seat for a 1940-7567 and other models and years.
Need the core of a folding seat as used in convertibles as well as in some limousines.
The core is steel enforced wood and fairly heavy for such a relatively small part.
It measures circa 20” x 15” x 1 ½”
One of the seat cores on my car was replaced at some time before me with a very bad piece of wood which is also too small in width and which I fear might break. Unfortunately I had it upholstered the way it was, but now I am afraid it won’t hold up.
Good core is most welcome. See pictures for looks of part wanted.
The good seat is on the right had side of the car (left in pictures).
Thanks for any help.

Hilmar. I suspect you will be in the same boat as me when I was restoring my 1936 Fleetwood coupe 70 series, I had no interior at all and in 16 years of ownership I have never seen a single part for sale.  When these cars are of very limited production I think we are on our own here as far as spares are concerned.   In my case there were only 53 of these cars built by Fleetwood and only half dozen remain, probably about the same for yours so what are the chances of finding parts?
About 6 years ago I had to bite the bullet and build the entire interior from scratch from the floor up from pictures of other cars. As you have at least one original seat you at least have a pattern to copy and I think you may have to travel the same path. Can't be that hard to reproduce??  Send it to me and I'll make it :D    Good luck.
Steve
