Interested in buying more land yachts! I'm located in NC and would prefer cars in the near by states but will go the distance for the right cars.
I'm looking for very nice originals or older restorations, and am a serious cash buyer ( which seems rare in today's world!).
I'm interested in any of the 70-76's but am also looking for 67-69 Eldorados?
What do you have? what condition?

I have owned a 1976 Eldorado convertibe since 2007. It is an original metallic blue, never been restored with 17xxx miles. I am asking $35500. It has the correct wsw tires purchased this year, I just spent $2ooo on the a/c including converting to 134 freon. I consider the condition a 2+. I will be happy to send you some pictures. The car is located near St. Louis, MO. Allan Franz( member11471) 636 398 5599

Thanks for the reply's, both cars seem nice but are a bit far away. I like to go and see the cars in person to avoid issues so cars located in NC VA SC GA and TN are what I'm really looking for unless the price and car is to good to pass up!

Don't worry about distances.

Sometimes you have to rely on friends and acquaintances to get the right vehicle.

I purchased my own '72 Eldorado Convertible off ebay in upstate NY, and I was way down here in Tasmania, Australia.

Didn't get to actually lay my hands on it till 9 months later, but had a lot of photos and descriptions to check it out.

Would I do it again?   Yes, but I would also spend the cost of an airline ticket, and enjoy a holiday at the same time.

Hi Bruce, I''ve bought a number of cars from long distances but they're usually much scarcer cars then the 71-78 Eldorado's. You can't be to choosy when the classic your looking for is say a '58 Continental Convertible were there is only roughly 200 left, at the most, you might have to go a long distance for that car! But with the plethora of these 71-78 Eldorado's I seem to be finding in my search area, and the prevalence of rust and costly missing interior pieces on these cars,  I find it better to check the cars in person.

G'day Graham,

When you live down here, and are looking for a '72 Eldorado Convertible with Trackmaster, one HAS to look in USA.   Been looking for the right one for years.   These cars are like Hens' Teeth in Australia.

PS.   And cheaper in USA.   Plus, I get a 3 Month Vacation as well as attending a Nationals Event with my own Cadillac.

I just posted 1974 Eldorado Convertible in the For Sale forum tonight. Posting for my dad, who is a retired mechanic and has owned the car since 1978. It is located in Peoria, Illinois, so maybe out of your travel area. Car has been in storage for most of the last 25-30 years. Leather upholstery was refurbished, convertible top is like new and he just replaced the entire exhaust system and water pump in the last year. 118,450 miles and in good condition. Take a look and let me know if you are interested. Asking $12,000.
