Muhammad Ali in a Cadillac

I came across this picture on the net and thought it was really cool.  Mr. Ali playing vinyl records in a Cadillac.

Hmmm.....  Wonder what manufacturer that player is from.  They look like standard 45s, not the Hi way Hifi records Chrysler used.

Walter, that car record player was made by Philips in Germany in the 50's and early 60's . I had one for many years in my cars. they were quite reliable, played one at a time. even play going over railroad tracks. there are several on ebay all the time. they went the way of the horseless carriage when tape decks came out in '63. Holy smokes, thanks for the lead but I may have to save my pennies for a while before I can make that purchase.

I like that idea however with the 1957 speaker being located under the dash I don't think this unit would work well.
