Hello- I am new to this forum and I joined to get some expert advice. I recently found a box of NOS Cadillac light bulbs. The top of the box reads "This Box Contains One Lamp Kit" then has the Cadillac insignia in the middle , "Cadillac Motor Car Company, Detroit, Mich USA". Inside contains 8 very old 6 to 8 and 3 to 4 volt bulbs. Inside the box it is handwritten in pencil "1927 Cad".
Can anyone on this forum tell me exactly what I have?  Was this kit included with a car or was this purchased at a dealer?  All of the bulbs are in great condition except one of the smaller clock bulbs has loose glass.

Thanks
Tom

Well Tom , I can't answer your specific questions. So short answer : you have what I want. There may be a bulb or two which I may need some day. Here is my 1927 Cadillac having fun after driving it 2700 miles to and around Las Vegas for the Grand National last year. This is an original unrestored car. Even the green paint is original. I had the wheels you see made for the trip in order to preserve the originals in the unusually fine shape they are currently in. The pin striping was copied from the original painted wheels. Other than repainted fenders and aprons , that and having to re-paint the body pinstripes , the old Cad is unmolested. The interior is better preserved than the exterior. Nice clean inside life , I guess. You see the pride the then 89-year-old took in displaying it's honors on the bumper as Bob and Bob admire the striking interior. So , did you want to find a happy home for the bulb kit , or keep it on your display shelf ?   - Carl , 408-621-8261

P.S. A couple of the many pleasures of ownership of such a relic are provoking incredulity when people ask me if I did the "restoration" myself , and the mock shock I get to display when people are stunned to find that I just get out on the byways and drive "Lone Wolf" thousands of miles. Of COURSE I drove it ! Sure I did ! Hey ! It's a CADILLAC ! That's what Cadillacs do.  -CC
