Looking for one of these if anyone has a spare. Many thanks!

I'll have to check my "stock" for one. I have 2 complete grilles for my coupe.  One for in it, one for that "just in case" that we all pray never happens.
The third one isn't complete, so it's possible it may be there. I'll let you know in a day or so one way or the other after I find it.

How long is the one you need? How many holes?
The only extra one I have is a short one with just one hole for a screw. It's the one for the upper-outer ends behind the Dagmars.
Here's a picture of the two I'm keeping for reference, so you can point out which one you need.  Perhaps someone else has one.

Thanks for replying! The very small bracket I need is not in your pictures. As my photo shows, I need the small one in the "V" portion of the grill, about where your bag of screws is placed in your pictures.

Hey Chuck,
I've actually got 4 grilles,  but two are incomplete, (one of which is a gold one).  However,  even the two I have that are complete didn't have a clip or brace/bracket in the very center.
Now you got me wondering if I'm missing them too.
Is yours a coupe or sedan,  or an Eldo or a Brougham? Maybe it's a model specific part?
What does the screw attach to on the bumper?
I gotta go look at all of my bumpers now.

Mine now happens to be a Sedan Deville but I've also had 3 coupes and all my 1956 Cadillac grills were the same.

Ok, I went out and looked at all of my vehicles and bumpers to see where the bracket you wanted attaches.  I found the spot,  but none of mine had the little clip that the screw goes into like all the other locations do. Don't know why mine are missing,  but now I gotta find at least one for myself now.
So if you find one,  post a picture of it so I'll know what to look for too.

Sorry I couldn't help you on this. But thanks, (I think, LOL!) for letting me know I need it too.
Happy hunting,

Hey Rick,
Take another look at my first post on this topic where I took a picture of behind my gold grill center. That small metal bracket is pictured there already. Thick steel, slight bend outs on the sides with a large screw through the middle of it.  Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps.  I hadn't looked real close before,  just a quick glance.  I had thought it was shaped like the others were. This  changes things. I can make one of these without any problems.  Just add a clip and a screw and "wa-la", instant bracket.

Thanks Chuck.  "More work for me now,  mumble mumble!! "

Are you still going to look for one then, or just make it?

I think I have a guy who says he has one. I'd rather have an original but, like you said, it certainly would be an easy fabrication.

If you do get one,  would you mind giving me the rough dimensions on it. Not that it's gonna be too difficult to come up with something that will work,  but it would be nice to make it look at least a little like the original piece.

Good luck on finding the original one.
