Need to replace deteriorated bumper fillers front and back on my 85 Eldorado, prices seem to range from$175 for 11 piece set in fiberglass, up to $600 in ABS. All of the represent that they will need trimming, holes drilled, sanding and fitment otherwise. Has anyone had good results with replacement bumper fillers and can make a recommendation?

Everything that is currently available is mediocre at best and will take some work to be presentable.

Yes, indeed... have "done" several '80's cadillacs  - two Eldorados and one Fleetwood... the pieces made of fiberglass will certainly last, but it's nearly impossible to use all of the original brackets that were associated with the pliant originals.  After hours of frustration, I simply attached the new ones where they would "mate up" and because they are strong and not pliant, they did stay in place and when I had these cars re-painted, the replacements looked just fine.  (and happily, I never crushed them).   James

Sounds great, everyone has advised me that I will definitely need to “shape” them into place. Found a place in Miami that makes them to order, full set for $175. Sounds cheap but I’m going to give them a whirl

You dont need all of the original supports because the new parts are more rigid.
My experience with the 85 stuff is that it’s much better than the repro 70’s parts.
