I need to fill my transmission with new oil. I got a can of dexron 2 for it but would a suffix A be better?

I did some research online and many people seem to put in dexron 2 as that is way easier to get.

For me the suffix A would take two weeks to get:-(

Many thanks, Ramon

I have been substituting the early dextron versions and am Unaware of negative effects. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It takes 11 qts, ~3 gallons, so one "can" won't cut it.   You have to drain from the front and the back.   Only about 8 come out the back.
The procedure is in the manual.   If it hasn't run in a while, I'd be pulling the pan and inspecting the pickup screen also.   Check for leaks.
The Dexrons are back compatible, so the regular is OK.  They make Dex/Merc now.

I did all the draining , pull the pan and checked the screen... never seen anything this dirty....

This made me remove the brain and opened it. Cleaned it all and now need to refill. I will just go with the dexron :-)
Thanks
Here are some pics of the dirt:
