Complete with Rattle Can paint covering a ton of chrome and Faux Vinyl/trunk paint Top.

The description must have been copy/pasted from a different listing+car maybe?

Awful, one too many zeros in the price.  Might serve as a winter time beater for the salt belt.
There is a fine line between "Hobby" and "Mental Illness".  Dave Barry.   I walk that line.

Aw guys, you're missing the point. It's a CADILLAC! It has to be worth four times as much.  ;)

Yeah, something is wrong with the listing.  The description and pictures don't belong together.

Luckily, is a rare Coupe de Ville.  And they had some leftover paint for the drums.  Does 88k miles qualify as "super low miles"?

It's fun to have our laser pointer out to look at the high points of the car, there are too many to list...

This guy is an embarrassment to the stoners of the 60's and 70's.

He now has it listed on Facebook selling groups for $3999 FIRM. Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/166025577153931/permalink/1182875672135578/?sale_post_id=1182875672135578

Here is the description with the listing for those not on Facebook.
"1968 Cadillac deville 472ci automatic runs drives  would recommmend having fluids flushed and tune up ,  clean title windshield cracked driver side window off track Ac doesn't work car located Dania beach can be shipped anywhere in USA
Price is $3999 firmmmmmmmm"

He probably isn't a bad person, he was just misguided about what a Cadillac like what he has is actually worth.

Also it seems like this is a non-vinyl top with possibly Rinoliner used to look like a vinyl top.

Thanks everyone for the comic relief.
And now, I really don't feel bad for being irritated by this listing. Hahaha.  ;D

So Alexander tell us more about you. Your only 4 posts are in this thread. Do you own a Cadillac? Was this a car you were or are interested in buying? What brought you to this forum?

I presently own a '68 CDV - The one in my profile PIC.

Previously, I've owned:  '64, '67 and '69 Coupe DeVilles.

I had an account years ago when I had the '64. I joined again in '17 when I bought the aforementioned '68 and was once again a "card-carrying" enthusiast, got back in the scene etc.

I guess that EBay listing got me to wondering if anyone else gets irritated by seeing something they're into, and fairly knowledgeable of, being "sold" that way.
Hence, the inquiry and the rare post.

The internet has helped keep interesting old cars on the road, and that's a very good thing.  FOr a Cadillac to still be registered and on the road after more than half a century is a huge accomplishment, and in this case, this machine could provide someone with an "entry level" experience provided that the price reflect its present condition (all comedic commentary aside).   James
