Have you tried rockauto, they have some mechanical parts, not a lot ,but some stuff. They do have a shop manual that is reasonable priced.I have seen some of the other stuff on ebay, but it is getting expensive. You have to be careful buying parts as the 75 series is different then a 60 series in a lot of ways, real easy to buy the wrong part.If i see any of these parts i will let you know. harveyb

Thank you, Harvey! I appreciate your response.

Yes, so far, only ebay... with very little luck. I am glad to tell me about the parts for series 75 being different in many cases to other series. I will keep my eyes open.

In some cases I haven't been able to even find a pic of what I am looking for.... for instance, the air cleaner that I understand carried also the horns!

The 60 series had the horns on the air cleaner, not sure about the 75 series,i think it is different?.Possibly the same cleaner without the horns?.I have a Master Parts List book,if you need any part numbers or listing as to what else fits, let me know and ill try to help.My car is a 60 series,it is basically a fancy Lasalle, quite a bit different then the big series cars. harveyb

The 75 Series has the same horn/air cleaner as the smaller series.  Harry

Thank you, Harry!

I see two things that puzzle me a bit:

1. A vertical black tube behind the air cleaner comming down into the engine? What is it?

2. Carburator has an electric choke? It seems to have an electrical connection comming into the round or circular unit on top of the carb. I don't believe mine has it.

Thanks again,
Victor

Hi Victor, The vertical tube at the rear of the air cleaner is part of the crankcase ventilation system. It runs from the rear valve body cover into the air cleaner. The front valve body cover has a short tube that feeds into the intake manifold.
The '37s came with an electric choke. It is almost impossible to find those carbs now (Stromberg AA 25). .

Hi Harry:

Pretty clear now.

My car does not have the crankcase ventilation system... it does have a hole in the cover below the manifold that shows it had it at some point. I need to get or make one... once I get the full setup.

Also, I don't have the electric choke carb... what it has now is a Stromberg aerotype but shows a manual choke which I will have to make some adaptation to use while I locate an original carb.

Thanks a lot for your help,
Victor

"...while I locate an original carb..."

As Harry said. Good Luck finding one of these. I understand that, being either the first, or a very early, electric/automatic choke carby, they were nearly all "swapped out" for a later AAV style carby.
