Hello, I am helping a friend try to locate an ABS hydraulic assembly for his '89 Fleetwood. This is the FWD model and not the RWD Brougham.

Does anyone rebuild these? Rock Auto and others that carry the "Cardone" rebuilt units are and have been out of stock for some time. Quite pricey too, but if you're the only one....

Perhaps if Bruce Roe is watching he has figured a fix like he has with ECMs and A/C and has some suggestions?

Thanks!

Brace yourself.... Those units are a significant problem.

Is that the TEVES system?  If you search that word you should come up with lots of hits since the same basic system was used on many makes and models.   A couple years ago I found a couple people that did repair them.

Hi TJ, Yes, its the TEVES system Cardone Part #12-3415. Has the master cylinder, reservoir, accumulator and solenoids "all-in-one". If you have a lead on a person that repairs, please let me know. Thanks!

It doesn't look like I bookmarked anything related to that.  From memory I think maybe I found them related to a Chrysler product/site?  I was just going to various sites I got on a search and found a good write up with some trouble shooting on the system and at the end it said someone that repaired them.  If I remember more or have time to dig further I will let you know.

Thank you, I've been looking myself. Jeeps plus many GMs used the system. A Buick Reatta forum has some good TEVES reading.
