I searched but couldn't find a thread of Cadillacs owned by movie stars anywhere. If there is one let me know and we can move this post. There are a couple of threads about Cads in movies but none focused on the stars. I found one thread with Kim Novak's '57 Series 75 limo that also had pictures of Angie Dickinson in an early 60's Cadillac and  Ann Margret in a 61 convertible .  Click for Kim Novak Thread It referenced a Daily Mail article entitled Stars and Their Cars that featured the Kim Novak and Angie Dickinson pictures and featured exclusively Cadillacs. It shows John Wayne and Danny Kaye with each of their Cads, Bing Crosby with a custom made '47, and Jean Harlow standing on the running board of her '34.  Click for Daily Mail Article

There might be more individual threads about a single star but I thought it would be useful to have many of them in one thread.  Here's some to get you started. Of course we all know Elvis owned many Cadillacs and if you're like me you've collected a picture or two of celebrities in cars matching the year(s) of Cadillac that you own(ed). In addition to a '55 Series 60, I've owned four Series 75s over the years, a '56, 2 x '55 and the '55 I own now, so I'm always intrigued with the 54-56s, especially limos.

Elvis toured in a light blue '54 Series 75 with a roof rack. There's also a black '55 limo he is said to have owned. Scotty Moore (guitarist in his backing band) has several pictures of his '54-'56 Cadillacs that you can see here:
Click for Elvis Tour Limo Scotty Moore My favorite is Elvis sleeping in the back of his '54, something I did more than once with my '55 I owned in the 70s-90s as I drove it from Utah to Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Las Vegas. Also shown in the foreground is his '56 Mark II.

Click each of the pictures below to enlarge/reduce - I think! (it didn't work in my preview screen so I'm hoping it works after I post it)

And here's Graceland in winter with his '56 Continental Mark II on the left (I own one of these as well), I think next is a '57 Fleetwood, maybe a Lincoln Capri or something after that and then, although the color is poorly shown, the pink '55 Fleetwood he gave his mother at the front of the line, shown a little clearer again on right without snow.

Marilyn Monroe was gifted a '54 convertible by Jack Benny for appearing on his show since her Fox contract wouldn't allow her to accept cash for appearances.

And since I'm a Series 75 fan, here's Marilyn in the back of a '56 Limo blowing out her birthday candle.

Here's John Wayne climbing out of his '56 Limo. It's interesting to see this big man struggling to get out of the door of this actually quite massive car.

Not to be outdone, Lassie owned a '56 as well, as seen here. I think she might be getting into Clay's Lexi. Collies shed a lot so at home you find fur in all sorts of places, years after they're gone. Clay, have you found any Collie fur in Lexi yet? Backed up with this picture It could substantially increase the value of your car. (I hope this image expands when you click it so you can read the press release on Lassie's limo)

So post pictures you may have of movie stars with the Cadillac that's most dear to you. I think it will be fun.

One last one: Can you guess who this famous person is with his Cadillac?  (It's kind of a trick question so I'll give you a hint: I'm not sure what date this picture was taken but by 1917 he had switched to driving Lincolns) Good Luck and have fun!

Tim, that's a great resource. For those of you who don't know about the Cadillac Database, here is what he's referring to: Click for Cadillacs of the Rich and Famous

Since it's rich and famous people, it has hundreds of different individuals from all over the world and their cars; movie stars and film executives, but also presidents (back to Woodrow Wilson), monarchs, dictators and leaders of countries in Europe, Middle East, Asia, Russia etc, generals, musicians including opera singers, sports figures, business leaders, popes, gangsters, etc. etc. etc.

I would still encourage others to post pictures of Cads that have a special significance to them belonging to movie stars that may also have a special place in their memory.

Great post Terry. Love it! Have seen the Limo pictures before but not the one of Lassie. Today I lubed my speedometer cable and did some other under the dash work as well. So, I was on the floor of Lexi a lot. While down there I had look for evidence of Lassie but not a "dog gone" hair or even a lost red cent. When I first took ownerhsip of Lexi I did find evidence that Mickety Mouse had lived there though, (mice nests)! Clay/Lexi

Elvis 1958 fleetwood sixty special, (see image)  makes you wonder if it had air suspension ...given it's actually level I think not🤣✅

Frank Sinatra had 2 (first edition) eldorado broughams, anyone know if Howard Hughes had a brougham?

Al Capone had a 1929? Cadillac he painted green like Chicago police cars. It's offered at a million $$$

The Nixons had a brown 1974 talisman

Billy Carter had a Jennifer blue 1977 coupe de ville.

If this works, you should see Jean Harlow, Joan Crawford, Robert Montgomery, and Merlene Dietrich and their respective Cadillacs.

The database link isn't working for me today.  I saw Dolly Parton's Brown '74 Talisman when it was being auctioned in 1992 in Auburn Indiana.

If you look a few frames up at Marilyn and her 1954 convertible, it looks like she scraped a few curbs with her whitewalls as well. You would think that both of these women would, by then, have had the help park the car. Maybe the help didn't know how to park a car.

One of the more interesting things I ever saw on Ebay was a 1944 California registration for a 1941 Cadillac Sixty Special in the name of Frank Sinatra.
I forget the address, but the registration stated that the car had previously been registered in New Jersey. Frankie had signed it on the line for the owner's signature. I don't know if it sold or for how much. I would guess that when he traded the car in, he left the registration in it and somebody kept it as a souvenir. I hope it found a good home.
