Should I put Lucas Stop Slip in my '47 and '58 as a preventative measure?  Some knowledgeable seeming person on Facebook suggests this for older GM Hydramatics

Tony, check into the Lubegard product line. I have used it in Powerflites, Torqueflites, t350s, and 50s Hydramatics. All the transmissions were in good shape to start with.

Thank you David, will check it out

I have used Lucas products and I think they are just great. The automatic transmission and power steering additives are particular favorites. I have used in hydramatic as well.

Recently Used the transmission additive in a Chrysler mini van that was dropping out of OD and that was over a year ago that the additive solved the problem.
