Does any one know if the front fender turn indicator lamp base from a 1962 Cadillac coupe deville will fit under the turn indicator on a 1961 series 62?  I believe the part number for the 1961 base is 5952300.  Any help or resources I can use to figure it out are greatly appreciated.

For 1962, the base had the number 5953358. I doubt that it's compatible with the 1961 part.

Thank you, any idea if the entire assembly interchanges from a 62 to a 61?

They are completely different. In my opinion the 62 is ugly.

I have photos of both but I will need to upload later. It is giving me an error code for photo uploads right now.

I know 61 and 62 mount in different locations, I didn't realize they were visually different, thank you.  Guess I need to source the proper bulb holder for my right side indicator.

There we go. Someone at one time made reproduction chrome bezels for 61. I should have bought them when I found them. I will have mine rechromed.

A salvage guy was parting a 61 and I wanted to buy the bezels off of them. But what I got was the 62 bezel above. Apparently the car was in an accident and it was repaired with front end components from a 62. He did not know the difference and I did not ask for pictures ahead of time.

Thanks for the photos, I had never compared them side by side before.  I agree the 61 looks better.  I have both bezels, I'm just missing the right hand bulb holder.

Is the bulb holder integral to the bezel?  If it is separate, and just snaps into the bezel, NAPA might be able to order what you need, if they don't have it in stock.  You can do your own research for the lamp socket (if it is separate from the bezel) at this NAPA e-catalog website.

     https://www.napaecatalog.com/?market=65&origin=

At the above website, choose the ECHLIN catalog in the lower left corner of the illustrated catalogs.  The picture that comes up will be the cover of the catalog.  At the top of that page is a blue bar with a small "window" in the center of it. Click in the window and it will turn blue and then type in 2028, which will bring up page 2028 in the catalog.  Look at the listing of LS6225, a common lamp socket for this type of application.  You can enlarge the page by clicking on the page.  The old catalogs used to show what bulbs fit in the socket, but NAPA, in their infinite wisdom, decided they would eliminate that feature in the newer catalogs.  To find out what bulbs fit the LS6225 socket, you can go to https://www.napaonline.com/ and type in LS6225 into the search window at the top of the page.  This will bring up a page showing the lamp socket/pigtail.  Click on the print above the lamp socket/pigtail that says "Rear Combination Lamp Socket".  This brings up another page showing the lamp socket/pigtail.  Scroll down to where it says "Specifications" the third line says "Socket bulb #", and lists the bulbs that will fit that particular socket.  The old catalogs were so much better, and easier to use for researching your type of search.  If this lamp socket is not correct, you can go back to the Echlin catalog and use the arrows on each side of the small window to page forward to look at other possibilities and research them.  Depending on your local NAPA, it might be easier for you to go and ask them to help you.  Usually the older countermen will be your best source of help—the young guys mostly don't know how to use the catalogs, and NAPA would even like to get rid of catalogs, as they are expensive to print.  Such is "progress" in our modern age!!!

Daryl,
Thank you for the very thorough reply, I was not specific enough in my terminology.  I actually need the entire cast metal plate that houses the bulb socket.  You can see it below the 61 bezel in the photos from Carl.
I appreciate all the effort, sorry I didn't ask a better question.
