1960s 60 CDV Interior Door Latch Release Mechanism

I'm replacing drivers side door glass and since the door panel will be off I am thinking of replacing the inside door latch release mechanism because it does not return the handle to the down position by itself. Can someone with a master parts list tell me if the door release mechanisms are the same for all GM cars 1959 through 1964? I ask because I found used rusty ones for a Cadillac 4 door 59 to 60. Some sites say GM 59 through 64. They all look the same to me and Olds, Buick and Chevy parts are about 1/2 the price for Cadillac labeled parts. Thank you for any information you can give me.
