This is a very nice complete oil bath air cleaner assembly. This unit came with my '41 Series 63. However, I learned that this is not the correct unit for my Stromberg carburetor.

This unit does not require a rubber hose at the carburetor. There is a metal carburetor attachment and clamp built in. This unit is most likely for a Carter carburetor.

I can provide additional measurements as requested.

I have a similar issue. I also have a '41 but a series 61. I have the Stromberg carb with the rubber sleeve, which is  pain to reinstall. I recall the '40 LaSalle that I am familiar with is like this one with no sleeve.

Update: Just checked the authenticty manual, the Stromberg carb using the rubber sleeve, the Caeter crab, does not?

Glenn,

I you are referring to the 1941 Cadillac, that is my understanding also. Stromberg uses a rubber hose  and 2 clamps to attach the air cleaner to the carburetor. The air cleaner for the carter carburetor has the attachment to the carburetor built into the air cleaner.

I'm not familiar with other years/models.
