I have a 57 that we did a ls swap to a 6.0 with an automatic.  You can get a lot of the swap parts from" big fin builds " out of arizona.  He makes mounts for this swap and is very helpful.  Depending on your area, I found someone in northern Illinois that does a lot of swaps for customers. There are some intricacies of doing the swap--I learned a lot during the change.  A phone call would probably be the best to go over what I experienced--I will say I am happy with the swap and would not do anything different.  For the haters, I am keeping my 49 original and my 64 as well
