51 sedans are fine cars, with few problems.  Car looks solid.  I can't tell if it is gray or green!

51 transmission is pretty good, 2bbl Carter carb reached the zenith of its development and provides smooth operation.  Still 6v, but that can be made to work really well with a few tricks.  Cloth-covered wiring is probably one of the worst features (not corrected until the 54 models).

When in good shape, these 51 sedans are a pleasure to drive and are very reliable.  Not terribly prone to overheating or vapor lock (relatively low horsepower compared to 54-56 models that also had the same radiator).  Tube shocks all around, not the knee-action shocks of 1949 and earlier -- this makes replacement a breezed and eliminates the problematic front knee-action shock that forms the upper control arm).

Series 62 with roll-up windows is less of a problem than the coupes, convertibles, and Fleetwoods with Hydro-Electric windows.

Yeah, this would be an excellent car for someone to get their feet wet in the Cadillac pool...
