Two years ago I bought a 1940 LaSalle Series 52 from the original owner's grandson.  It's been frustrating, educational, more expensive than expected but still worth it.

First outing with my wife, son and grandson to the Saratoga Auto Museum, then to the Saratoga National Cemetary to visit family.  The back roads around Saratoga Lake out to the Cemetary are a wonderful place to experience how a car functions.   8)

Then it was off to the Speckled Pig for pizza and craft brew.
