Hello good people of the internet, I have a question (again) about my 51' caddy. Is it supposed to have a gasket where the manifold meets the exhaust? I know the crossover pipe has two on either side and I assume that this one would too but mine doesn't. If it is supposed to have one, where in the world would I find one? Is it a universal thing? I am happy to report though that that exhaust leak was the only thing to go wrong on the car over hot rod power tour this year! I'm pretty sure I had the oldest original car there that did the whole thing too!

Cadillac made these gaskets a little confusing to the computer catalogs of today.

  You need a Fel Pro LB 8935. Cadillac group 9.0241 part#145 4222
fits 49-51 all ,52-56 right side of the dual exhaust.
The left side gasket was used by most models to 1967 single or dual exhaust.

I checked eBay . You can order a kit for say 1955 models, that contains it,but includes gaskets you can't use. I would try to match it up at a parts store. Some Fel Pro kits that likely contain it MS 8932B (49-51),MS 9143B (52-55) and MS 9330B (1956-62) Best to check whats pictured in set.

Awesome! I work at an autozone so I should be able to match something up. Thanks so much!
