Several posts on the Tech./ Auth. sect. tells about tread separation on FS 721 tires.  Looked at my 721s while doing a lub. I looked at the front tires only.  Will one see some indication of a problem like a crack or some sort of a beginning loosening of the tread, like it would occur in the next 5o miles. Got mine mounted 2001 & have less than 5,000 miles on them. Any ideas.  Thanks

It is my understanding that Firestone reenforced the side walls of the tire with the introduction the 721 Series XL.  I think they added 2 extra ply to the tire.  It appears some people have had good service with these tires while other have had problems.  I believe it depends on the climate where the car is run.
