Please view the post in the Forum Support forum, it has a poll about making a dark mode (i.e. dark color screens instead of bright white) available. This can be of interest for those that access the forums from a mobile device as dark screens use less battery power. But we need to know whether enough people want this before investing the time to install an extra mode.

Can anyone tell me if the vin number and motor numbers were originally the same on 1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertibles? The book i have says that the motor number is located below the left manifold and at the rear of the engine block. Even with a flash light I cannot get turned around enough to see that part of the engine. E/Mail or if you like call me at 864-246-0318. Bob Williams

Im going to give you a call also but the motor number is a partial vin.  They are very lightly struck and I have never been able to really read one with the engine in place.  Even with the engine out it has taken a very carefully look to read it.
