I have a series 6519 that the center windshield post is rusted away.  I made a new piece based on the holes in the inside strip and am ready to bend it.  My cheap plastic angle measuring tool reads about 25 degrees at the top and about 22 degrees at the bottom (of the windshield gasket mounting lip surfaces).

Does any one know this angle and how critical it is?  The body manual sounds like it is, other wise the glass will crack when putting it in.

I have a 38-6519. If you can tell me where to measure, I can do that this afternoon. Im not too clear what angle you are measuring. Also, any pics of your car? How far along in your resto/repair are you?

Phil

After looking at mine (Out of the car) it is more of a radius then any degrees. Fabricating a new one would be rather easy if you have the new rubber (Steel Rubber has nice ones).
