Ran into Walt McCall (80 years of Cadillac). Walt recalled told us he ordered that first black hearse new back in the day.

Love the last one. The 2 tone silver over blue is different and the extra chrome side molding along with the longer side windows sets it off.

Yes, definitely a "Haunt" friendly show. I as well ran into Walt McCall. Fortunatley I just happended to have his gold book with me to inscribe . Going strong at 86 years of age. See first attached image where Walt is posing with a Hearse that he advised he purchased straight out of service in November 1970. Although he is no longer the owner, he recounted many interesting stories about this and other Professional cars in his past. Walt is indeed "Hearse Royalty", and he spent a chunk of the afternoon at our Black Widow Hearse Club canopy.

Also pictured is our 3 Hearse Caravan heading from Canada to the show as shot from my buddy and CLC member Scott Nellis' rare 1957 Cadillac Eureka 3 way coach. Also as pictured is a 1960 Cadillac as well as a 1954 Pontiac Hearse. Definitely an ultra rare sight on today's roadway. These were among the oldest cars in attendance. I believe a 1950 Cadillac was the oldest Hearse on the show field, though a 1914 Model T had actually been retrofitted with an 1880s horse drawn, carved panel Hearse rear body in 2022, to turn it into a funeral car. So it was not originally manufactured this way or even as a Hearse, but it sure was well done.

And yes, we did (as far as I know), set the Guiness World Record for the most number of Hearses in a parade. Cars were tabulated after driving through town to the local Haunted House attraction, were the Guiness people recorded our assigned car number. I expect their results to show that we smashed the previous record. Think about 187 cars hit the showfield with some 157 making the parade. The old record was something like 121. Also in attendance was Tom Hoczyk's fabulous 1954 3 way Eureka.
