Hi Jimi,

Just to clarify for you, the stock '41 Cadillac takes a Stromberg AAV-26 carburetor, not a 97.

Thanks , Jeff . My carburetor (although appearing stock) has a circle w/ the numbers 97 inside of it . I have a stock air cleaner and a stock manifold . In fact , the entire set-up (linkage , fuel line etc) appears to be stock . Re-building the carb this week , though . I'll report back .

Jimi- A Stromberg 97 (a mid-30s Ford carb) has a 3-bolt base-  while the Cad AAV-26 is four-bolt, among many other differences. Currently, the real 97 is considered quite valuable on the hot rod market. I would love to see pix of this installation (without the air cleaner). Thanks, Mike
