I was asked to sale this for a old guy friend of mine and he has no idea what  to sale it for and I dont have any clue what this thing is worth or nothing. Its a 1985 cadillac eldorado with 64 k actual miles. He says it has a continental package? Has a rolls royce style grill as I would call it.Interior looks pretty good to me, starts and drives just fine well taken care of. I can email you pics if anyone is interested in helping me.

If you'll go to the Kelley Blue Book site www.kbb.com, you can get a value for that car.  As for the continental kit and RR grill, they were not a factory option and were installed at the dealership (often with Vogue "tyres") or an after-market atuo place.  My guess is that they would add little, if anything, to the value of the car and I'm sure I'm not the only one who prefers them the way they came from the factory.

In my opinion not only will the RR grille and the continental "kit" detract from the car (especially the RR grille) but the HT 4100 engine it has just about kills it all togther.

I see those cars advertised for $5k and up all the time.  They dont seem to sell because I keep seeing the same car and the same ad again and again.  Sometimes I see them finally drop usually at least to 1/2 of original asking price and then sometimes they do appear to sell then, sometimes not.   The last year or so in my area there have been several in the 1000-1500 range.  I have even looked at a few and they were nice clean good running cars.   There just are not many people that are into that body style and the engine options make it even less attractive for most.

Geoff,

How about the white '85 Eldo that's been in the Self-Starter the past couple of months?  It doesn't have an HT4100, it has a "classic 4100 engine".
