I know the 64 hydramatic crank is different. I'm concerned with the 64 THM to 65 and the 66-67 crank differences. Why and how are they different? thanks, Jeff

I'm happy to see you've revived this topic, Jeff. I've never been able to get a straight answer to this myself. I've been hoarding (and moving around) a NOS 66/67 Crankshaft for years for a possible spare for my '65 if I ever need it, not knowing for sure if I can even use it.
Like I said, I've never found a positive answer on the differences just "maybe's". I had one suggestion that the part number change was possibly due to GM changing from cast to forged construction or vice versa that year. I never investigated further on that aspect.
I would be nice to know. Joe Gibeault
