Got some front sway bushings from OPGI, an before completing the order I gave make / model of 66 Fleetwood 75 series Limo by recapping will these bushings fit?   Gent on the phone says: the computer says it will fit that model.  So I went with the order.........yup they werent close, too small.  returned them.

sway bar is about 1" diameter an Im seeking the correct bushings as its time to wrap up the front end rebuild this is my last roadblock.   I really dont want to re-install the nasty old ones....they served their time.........shes ready for new fresh correct parts.

any help?  ideas?

As much as I'd rather not, the Cadillac master parts catalog are saying the same thing even though we know the series 75 and CC sway bars are different. RubberTheRightWay.com is showing Steele's correct bushings. Granted you could see if Autozone has the 61-64 bushings for a series 62 and they might work, since it's saying (the Steele & RTRW sites) the bushings fit those too. Might be worth a shot to get buy today, get tomorrow and try. "RTRW" are good guys and Tim is the man. Here's the MPC page.

Ok going long......order from RTRW, never heard of them....but if they got the correct bushing, they get my vote....

when doing a rebuild on a classic car, roadblocks SSSSSSSLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW the whole process.

Im sure many of us have been there, or are currently there.

Thanks for the tip an possible solution.

EDIT:  Placed a nice juicy order from trunk to door weather strip, window felt, hood bumpers, and suspension......an to think I was only looking for sway bar bushings.

Seems like a great outfit for correctly reproduced rubber items.....even listed the correct 75 series bits as a different item then the usual 66 model year line up.   Will update when items arrive and installed for feedback.

If you can't find the rite ones, figure out a way to nicely make the holes the rite size. It's only rubber! Or order for a 70 SS Chevelle,I believe they have a 1 inch front sway bar.You can also get them in urathane, also the end link kits and it will corner better!!Ken Perry

Turns out Jeff had bought my 2 '66 series 75s about 18 years ago. Good to reconnect. Yes, RTRW is a reseller of Steele products. With Steele, you know what you're getting rather than paying a bit less for more generic rubber products. RTRW can offer a good discount.
Best of luck, Jeff in CT.

RTRW parts arrived (minus backorder weather stripping--which I have been notified by RTRW) an all the pieces look great....nothing is installed however the sway bushings are not the correct size still, too small.

Thanks Perry on the Chevelle info.....believe I have a 1" sway bar....so that may indeed be the route Im headed....got to get her back together.

and Jeff W. thanks to CLC forum I found you, the seller of a pair of fleetwood 75s, which after 18 years I do still have.  Does time fly?  yes it does.   I had no idea it was that long ago.   Ive been able to use a few bits here an there from the spare 75s although generally the main 75 in the fleet hasnt needed much over the years but fuel to drive her so both cars are relatively as I got them....both were in dry storage with me till about 4 years ago I took one out to work on it an maybe get to run/drive again, an that is as far as I got...so she sits outside still waiting for me.
