Any recomendations as to a good replacement for a radio in a 1968 Deville. I am putting in new speakers but not adding others. I would like to be able to use an i-pod with the radio but no need for a cd option.

My opinion would be to put in a 2nd hidden radio, so at least your dash stays true. There is actually a company that makes a blue toothe radio that runs off of your phone. The radio stays completely hidden and has no controls. There are many options if you get aftermarket with a hidden head unit. May not be what you want to do though. Just my thoughts.

You cant take your car with you in the end so drive the dang thing.

I use a company in Pennsylvania called retro radio. They will take your stock radio and put modern guts in it with am/ fm and audio jacks to hook up an mp3 or cd changer. Their contact info is www.retroradio.biz or call (717) 367-1428. Good luck with your project. Brian.

I have a little "unit" for my 68 DeVille, where I can plug in a USB, or AudioCable or storage card. And then you can choose which song to play and it will transmit the song over a "new radiostation" to your radio. You just need to dial in the right frequency. The unit is called "FM Transmitter", they come in all sizes. Might try that.
