1938 Cadillac Series 60 Opera Coupe. This rare car was restored about 20 years ago and remains in excellent condition. The body is extremely solid and straight with no evidence of damage or repairs. The door fit, hood fit and trunk fit is excellent with even margins throughout. The body panels are extremely straight top to bottom, front to rear. The floor pans, sills and subframe are excellent. The paint is extremely nice with good, even gloss and no bubbling or cracking. All of the chrome is in excellent condition. The chassis is very clean with no rust. The engine bay, firewall, etc are also very clean and presentable. Mechanically, the car has just been fully serviced including brakes, engine tuneup, etc. It runs and drives excellent. It starts easily, idles smooth, does not smoke or overheat. The tires are near new. The car shifts easily and the clutch is smooth. The car brakes square and the steering is tight with no play or binding. All of the lights and accessories work. The car has been converted to 12 volts with the addition of an alternator. It has 12 volt sealed beams behind the original headlamp lens. The car has been fitted with working turn indicators. The upholstery is extremely nice and shows no signs of wear. The seats, door panels, carpets, headliners, etc are very nice, fit well and show no signs of staining or damage. The dashboard and garnish molding are wood grained. The dashboard has all of its correct gauges which are in working order. This is one of only a few of this model known with the rare, metal covered, dual sidemounts. It has the correct fender skirts, the rare windshield washers, clock, etc. This is a super clean and correct car that is ready to use and enjoy and would be a very comfortable long distance touring car.
