Hi James

Thanks for the tricks. I was shocked that I haven't updated my thread since three years. Since then a tremendous amount of work was done.
Actually I just restored a parts number matching Quadrajet with an original ac idle speed up diaphragm. (these are impossible to find!!).
And another 1000 of things were improved. I should write again some articles, but anyways, you can ask me anything if you have a question.

Best regards,
Nicolas

Hi Guys

My 68 has the fuel filter GF440, this one has the return fitting because its for an A/C car.
I could not find a new replacement for such a GF440 - they sell from tremendous money in ebay but all of them are not new but new old stock.

After years, I finally found a suitable replacement: The GF 432 which has a return fitting and is used for Chrysler Engines. The only problem: the fuel inlet and outlet fitting are too large.

Original GF440: The fittings are female 5/16'' tube fitting, which has a 1/2''-20 thread.
Replacement GF432: a female fuel line, the fitting has a thread: 5/8''-18

So I got some adapters (I think I got mine from caddy daddy) which are: from 5/8''x18 male to 1/2''x20 female

Painted blue and no one can tell.
Please see the pictures attached.

If you don't find a source for the GF432, let me know I can order a few.

Best regards,
Nicolas
