I just put out some food (money,10 big ones) and it jumped on my trailer and followed along,, it's a coupe dv. vin # 59J022933, style 596337, body fw 3446, trim 46, paint 36-32, top acc ehy...last reg. 2002..  I got it started,( it runs, not good) and got it in my shop, no brakes of course... now to start the rebuild...I  hope to have it done in time for the GN at Las Vagus 2016... my 51 was lonesome and needed a stable mate... now I will try to post some pictures...

Gene,

The interior of the car tells a much different story when compared with the outside.  The original broad clothe was relatively fragile, and did not hold up very well after a decade... but yours is in surprisingly good shape... I can't help but wonder if the car was babied for much of its life, and then met up with hard times much more recently.  What's the mileage?  Do you have any history... anything relating to the car that suggests it received a lot of tender care along the way?  Great pictures...  James

Gene,

Body # 3446 places your car fairly early in 1959 production. I would estimate not much later than October 1958.

The paint combination of 36-32 is Kensington Green with Inverness Green (painted) roof which is extremely unusual. I have never seen a '59 Cadillac in that combination.

Trim 46 is 'Green Coronado Cloth & Green Metallic Leather".

EHY - EZ Eye Glass, Heater, Y - Power seat.

Welcome to the '59 Club and good luck with the restoration.

Somebody liked green I'd say ...

A beautiful color combination I hope you end up painting it original.

Man that is tight on that trailer. Must be a real pain loading it.
I got myself a Cadillac but I can't afford the gasoline (AC/DC Down Payment Blues)

Hello Gene

Your project sounds great.  Please post pictures.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

gene harl
