Recently bought a 67 sedan deville body is in decent shape and I want to paint. I've never really done a whole car and would appreciate if anyone can help me out in how much paint will I need to repaint my 67.
That's including primer, sealer, base, and clear.

Are you planning on removing the trim and bumpers? Are you planning on painting the door jams inside the trunk and the fender edges?

A lot of it is going to depend on the mixing ratios of the products you use.

For example, Spies Hecker basecoat is mixed 1:1 - basically 1 gallon of basecoat gives you two gallons of sprayable material.  Nason Basecoat is 8:1/2:1 - one gallon gives you 5 sprayable quarts.  That said, you could theoretically do a car with 2 quarts of Spies Hecker that you would need 3 quarts of Nason to do the same thing with.

Have you sprayed ANYTHING with a gun before?  I would suggest getting an old hood or a door from a junkyard and practicing on that with the materials you would use to see if you can get the hang of it.  You don't want to be using your car as the experiment piece.  Big difference in a pint of paint versus the cost of paint to do a whole car only to have the job go south and have to redo it.

I used to paint quite regularly but haven't picked up a gun in awhile.  I was a little nervous picking up a gun to paint a fan shroud for someone last year.  It came out nice, but I was definitely out of practice.  It's not as easy as it looks.

Are you changing colors or repainting to original color?

Big difference in Quality is taking off the molding and bumpers.

Will there be any body work?

I willl be painting it back to the original color which is the pinecrest green. And will be removing the bumpers and trim there is a little body work to be done on the deck lid and left front fender other than that nothing major.

Will be repainting the engine bay, door jams, and trunk. The enine bay is painted gray and door jams and trunk are primered black.

I have sprayed but it has been like 5 or 6 years that i haven't so im sure i have to practice, practice, practice! most likely will be buying a hood from the junkyard to do so.

Be VERY CAREFUL! , the paint they make these days base coat clear coat is deadly and I would not attempt to spray it without  a modern down draft spray booth and proper respirator and body coverings for you. You inhale this stuff YOU ARE DEAD. It is not just bad for You like the old time Lacquer. Just a word of caution.
Sincerely , Bill Young
