Here's one you don't see every day. I'm  unaware of the source. Anybody?

It's been a while Yann. Hope you are well. Love  to Gita. I have not seen that ad either. I wonder if it s a section of a larger ad perhaps showing other GM cars for 53. I seem  to recall in one of my Saturday Evening Posts something for GM Canada. Had the Corvette, Fiesta, Skylark and Eldo.

Dunno the origin, Q., this is how I found it, among hundreds of other "miscellaneous" Cadillac ads ... including some "sad" newspaper ads damaged or destroyed with age and lack of proper storage and protection. But "better a poor image than NO image", right.
HAPPY NEW YEAR, mate !

Some advertising "treasures" ... in the raw and one after a test restoration.

Here's a rare one from 1961.  Seldom seen.   Tom CLC 6866

You are right, Q. That ad probably was one in a series of two (or more). I have found another like it (same year, same basic layout); it's attached below. Another one from 1953 caught my eye; it was in 4 pieces that I taped back together but I dunno if I got them, in the right order; you tell me.

Well spotted, it could be a "Body by Fisher" ad as well.

I have two 1953 (from late 1952 papers) GM corporate ads showing this blue sedan. These are two versions of the same ad, a double page and a single with the car "looking to the right".
No Eldorado on these. Maybe on the one mentioned by Quentin showing "personal" models by other GM makes.

Here are a couple more (rare?)  "newspaper" (1959 Cadillacs) that I have tried to improve on using PhotoShop.

These large ads are hard to come by, since newspapers are usually discarded very soon  after use. In addition, the paper on which they are printed does not match the quality used for the more readily available magzine ads.

Enjoy!

Here are enlarged versions of the two 1959 Cadillac ads I just posted. I hope they are still within the size limits allowed on the forum.

I caught the last five minutes of "The Phenix City Story" on TCM last night. There was a great view of a 1953 60S in pale grey or cream with an aftermarket Continental Kit pulling into a driveway. As the story line concluded with the Attorney General's son "taking up the fight", it may have actually been his car being shown.

Anyhow, it was a great view of the popular Continental Kit.

I'd take the Cadillac.  That plane doesn't look safe to fly in.  Plus, I'd have something in common with all you guys.
