1937 LaSalle brakes

I am getting the brakes back together on my LaSalle, and the springs that hold the rear shoe against the eccentric are missing.

They were not there when I disassembled the brakes and none came in the hardware kit.

Do any of you know a source for these springs, or a workable substitute?  I have searched the local hardware stores to no avail.

Yes, they don't supply those in kits. They are not in later brakes so I guess a lot of people leave them out.
