I am looking for instructions or photos on how to install the rubber dust shields on the front inner fender liners. I bought them from rubber the right way and they have no idea how to install them. They are 3 odd shapes pieces for each fender. Thanks. I am at a loss here.

Mine are stapled.  I made the staples from .030 dia. 304SS MIG welding wire.  Still tight 9 years later....

I know they are stapled. I'm looking for how they are positioned on the inner fender. There are 3 odd shaped pieces.

John, can you look on the fender and see the old bent over staples ?  I have done some on a few different years , basically find the old staple use some diagonal pliers to cut and pry them them out ,  the staples that come with the parts are usually to stiff and short to bend while in the car, that is where the Stainless wire comes in, I also drilled out each hole before putting in the new wire/ staple.

I am just looking for how to position the 3 odd shapes pieces to properly cover the opening. I see the old staple holes but that doesn't tell me how the new pieces go on. The new fenders didn't come with them on and I am trying to figure out the configuration of the rubber pieces. I am hesitant to cut them until I know how they go on. Thank you.

Before I worked on my car I took some pictures. Maybe they help. At least the long part is easy to place.

Hello,
Here are some pictures I took when I was restoring my 55 Fleetwood. I also bought the kit from either Steele or Rubber the right way there were two pieces I never figured out where they went so they are on my shelf in the mystery bin. As far as attaching them I bought the staples from Restoration Specialties and Supply part # 1999 there phone numberis 814-467-9842. I just poked the staples thru and bent them over using the original holes. Hope this helps.

I think I've had my  1955 Cadillac CDV on the road for 17yrs or so now and the mystery of water escaping from my wheel well out onto my bumper just above the parking lights is starting to come around. Problem is,I don't see how the "shields" pictured will prevent this from happening. I also don't understand where the third "shield"(3 odd shapes per Farmer216) goes and what it's shape is.....must be starting to lose it at 69yrs old...(I'm happy though!)....walt...tulsa,ok

I have seen staples on the frame for the parking light / fog lamp. So there  the third part must have been attached there somehow.
