WTB '41 Cadillac stainless gravel guards

I'm looking for a set of these stainless steel rear fender gravel guards for a 1941 Cadillac Series 61.

I've been looking for years as well.....I think I will have to be struck by lighting before I find a pair...probally have to hand make them as I get closer to finishing my project...I thought the  NOS  62 series rocker trim was hard to find like 5 years.......

I think these were made by custom shops to order..each set I have seen ....seem to be slightly different...some are smooth ..some have swage lines rolled into them ...

Doug,
How many have you seen? I assume you're talking 41 Cad 61 & 62 series. Where were these custom shops? How did a customer find those shops? Please share your research.

Hi  Bob...I've only seen them in photos ....  seen a lot of pics from the film star era ( 30'-40s) who had the cars customized and the gravel guards are part of the custom work.......Ric Hoving has a site (CCC) Custom Car Chronicle...has loads of photos with this custom touch and research on these cars  30's-40's-50's  ....41 Caddy is a popular selection...I will make my set  ..have a friend with a good swege roller and a small English wheel ...47-48 Chev had a nice looking after market stainless set  with 3 or 4 swege lines very art deco looking.....Doug

I think Fleetwood put these on custom jobs. The "Duchess" has them as does my custom 62 series built for Mr. Sloan. As far as a factory offering as an option, I've never seen any

You would be lucky Doug, when you consider that the fender is different even between Cadillac series the chances of a Chev one fitting is just too remote. Although all GM used the same Fisher bodies they had a free hand in fender design.

You are correct. Fleetwood did make them for their custom jobs. However... some private firm made them for an average owner of a 41 Cad. I was at a swap meet years ago & a vendor had some for other 41 GM cars. So.. the question still remains, who made them & where did they sell them.

Gonna bring this one back from the..... well bottom.
I too am searching for a set of these gravel guards.  Maybe we been calling them the wrong name,  Fender Shields!

At first I thought they may be Fox Craft parts but it turns out they were Cal Custom by Eastern Auto Supply. There is actually an part number. so... where do I send my money? Only 12.95 part# 1404-3  See attached image

Anyhow, I will try to get some made next year as you know, this year is shot, haha. If it works out I'll let you guys know.

THANKS for posting & solving a VERY old mystery!! I figured a Ca. company sold them but never found out until your post. I'm very disappointed with Rik!! He knew that I & other people were searching for this info & he NEVER said a thing. Anyway, mystery solved.
