All:

Well after almost 10 months my Cadillac will be hitting the road again.  I've had her in storage since I found out that my fuel system had to be redone due to a faulty pump on the carb and other issues.  I've finally received all the parts to include a complete vacuum line system from mastermind.  Does anyone have a vacuum line diagram they can send me?  I didn't see anything in the shop manual the last time I looked.

There are minimal vacuum lines - the power brake and brake reserve tank, the vacuum advance and the vacuum dashpot

The windshield washers also use vacuum but mostly that is just for looks as the system is not reliable. . . .

True. I forgot about that one. Mine work fine but never drive in the rain. LOL

I will be happy to take pictures to help you out.  Off the top of my head there are 3,
1. for the breaks, comes off the intake manifold and goes to the hydrovac (towards the bottom)
2. off the base of the carb, mind is metal tubing not rubber) to the vacuum advance
3. the wipers which runs under the intake manifold on the valley and when it comes out of the valley it changes to black "rubber" tube and it connects to the "Switch" that connects the oil pump based Vacuum pump/engine vacuum "switch" that then goes to the wipers.  on the 57 they put a back up vacuum pump on the oil pump and the "switch" will move from engine vacuum to oil pump vacuum when the engine is no producing enough power to run the wipers.

in the attachment they refer to the "Switch" as the manifold. so here is how the wipers work but not where they lines run.

There is a flexible flap inside the "manifold" that gets hard and will not seal against the seat.  That manifold is really a check valve.  For the system to work, that check valve needs to seal so it can switch over to the engine vacuum pump when needed.   I have made those seals and they are available here:

Thanks for the link regarding the seals.  How many of these will I need?  I'd like to replace them next weekend when I address my vacuum system.

Just one is needed. Be careful when you open that manifold: there are two tiny springs inside; don't loose them!
