When was the last time you looked into your reservoir?

I am still here hilarious one! Had to check one more time. For me, I prefer horsepower under my hood. Not rat power. Lexi had several rat nests in her. Here are 2 shots of her. Imagine all that stately luxury populated with rodents! Lexi is a 1956 Cadillac Limousine. The mice are gone, but I noted that once I cleaned out their nests and droppings, I lost a lot of that 'old car smell'!!! Hope in reality the rodents had nothing to do with that, rather just a lot of driving with the windows rolled down. And rodent urine? Yuk! Hate that smell. One nest remains under the headliner. I can feel it, but can't get to it-so for now it stays :(  Clay/Lexi

Edit: Yes, I did have rat turds in my reservoir which is glass in my car. And yes I did clean them out!

What a kewl car!
At least my one-rat-power is gone, call an exterminator!

Almost forgot, but \m/ to you as well Laurie. I think on this site (or at a car show), there was a discussion about rodents in cars and how they can add to that old car smell, (but not the urine). Nix the droppings as well I would imagine. Like, all their nests and stuff might be that magic ingredient in some cases. I know it sounds weird, but since I cleaned mine out the car does not smell as good. Hope I am not alone on this. Now that I read this I am a little worried, BUT as kids remember how hamster cages smelled? Not bad. Well, just add old upholstery, grease and oil and presto. Maybe.  Clay \m/

Are you a head banger Dan? Tell the truth...  ;)

\m/ was originated by the late, great Ronnie James Dio in the early 80's. The "parental advisory groups" of the time went nuts thinking Dio was advocating for Satanic worship with the 'devil horns' hand signal. When in fact it meant "metal" (as in heavy metal), which evolved simply to "music".

So do you suppose that little guy drank all the coolant while he was in there?

I was just checking a shed at work to see if I needed to refill any of the 'bait stations'.   The blocks we use come in a plastic bucket a little shorter than a gallon of paint.   I have been to lazy to get rid of the empties so there are a couple buckets that just have crumbs of the poison left in em laying around.   Both buckets are full of turds and one had a dead mouse in it.   What the heck?  There are dozens of full blocks around this shed around the edges and other common spots.   Why were they going through the trouble to climb up onto the workbench and into these buckets for some crumbs?   And how the heck did one (or more) get out of the one bucket?  They are empty and sitting upright.

Dan and Laurie are correct. KISS Bassist Gene Simmons would argue that he first came up with the "2 horns up" hand sign. Not sure if there is a definitive answer. It is usually reserved as body language between Heavy Metal rock enthusiasts. I have come across a variation of it using two hands. That way both thumbs touch with  both pinkies extended, (no use of index fingers). What this means is "Too much Metal for one hand"! So Jeff and and Mr Newcombe, even if some young-uns think you are not cool or 'with it', you can pop that one on them. That is what you do. That will teach them not to mess with a senior. Clay/Lexi

Nope.  Urban dictionary told me what it was.

My 8 tracks playing in my 70 are mostly country!

Hello all,

I am reminded of the incident wherein a chap wandered into a biker bar and gave the Winston Churchill "V" for victory sign, which is made with the index and middle fingers extended.  Unfortunately, he momentarily forgot that he had lost his index finger in a farm accident!

Prior to rock/metal music, the University of Texas Longhorns used a very similar hand gesture to represent the horns of the eponymous cattle - as in "hook 'em 'Horns".

In Hawaii, the extended thumb and pinky finger are everywhere recognized as the "shaka" sign, meaning everything is copacetic.

I fixed the Dio link! \m/

Let's make up some old Cadillac hand signals, I'll go first -
You make a gun out of your hand, put it to your head and 'pull the trigger'.
It means you have an oil leak. (I don't, just trying to be funny)

Next? LOL!

Laurie, was that your coolant reservoir?

I don't have rats in the car anymore - moth balls to the rescue (they did take up residence while the engine was getting overhauled though!?!), but my windshield washer fluid turns into blue slime if I don't use it or clean it out every 6 months or so and it clogs up the washer pump and tuber!

Some more \m/

My fav Ratt video Round & Round. I like it when the dinner tray cover is lifted.

But those boys can't dance worth a damn...

Yes it was! Who knows how long the mouse was in there, glycol and formaldehyde are the same family.
Guess I'll add cleaning the washer fluid resevoir to the list!
So you're a head banger too? I love how Bobby's center crash cymbal has a hardware failure, and they kept it in the video, LOL!
They're not trying to dance, its heavy metal "posing", LOL! Where's Lexi?

I'm here, LOL. Was at the hospital for the day with Mom. I think Mike may be leading us on about his 'fav Ratt' video. He should have known that was Heavy Metal posing as you put it, and not dancing. Regardless, Mike is a Cadillac guy so all is forgiven...!!! Clay/Lexi \mm/

I'm not "that much" into heavy metal. I'm more of an classic rock rocker, and prefer Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Boston, Aerosmith etc, but there are heavy metal songs that I do like. Round & Round is one of them. Another that I like to have playing at quite the amplified volume is Highway to Hell while cruising with the top down. That and Werewolves of London. And Highway to the Danger Zone. And lots more...

Posing or not, those boys still couldn't dance their way out of a wet paper bag.

Laurie: I got your ems and wrote you. I hope you don't get blasted too much by the weather this weekend.

One more from the movie aptly named film (but based more on the comic book so named):

One more, can't resist. The movie had some real stupid premises, but you gotta love watching flight deck operations:

Both great songs Mike. I saw Top Gun too many times so I enlisted!

Lots of damage on the Cape. My house is fine, the cars are fine, section of fence down creating a manual dog walking situation until my fence guy gets here later today. Power is out, generator is running. It could be worse.
