My drivers side sun visor bracket is a mess that I inherited and needs work. Unfortunately, I have two different styles of bracket in my car. Which one is correct, "A", "B", or neither? This is something not apparently covered in the Authenticity Manual and I would like to have them functional, correct, and presumably matching. Thanks.

As Steve said the B style is correct but it may be an aftermarket one.  These must have failed early.  I have parts from obvious old aftermarket ones.  The ridge lines on the base are not existent or weak on the aftermarket ones.  Should be some part numbers on the back side of the base if original.  The interchange is 37 to 40 on small series cars.  In 41 and up for several years they look the same but the base is larger with a different screw spacing.  Can't rob the pivot from these later ones also because diameter is bigger.  Chevy's of the 40's may have these repo.  Picture of correct one attached.

Thanks guys. I suspected it was the "B" version. Now if I can source one for the drivers side I'll be all set. Chevs of the 40s doesn't seem to have them listed on their website. L and L Reproductions seems to have them on their site, but I'll need to contact them for more details as they don't list a price, size or availability. Honestly, I'd probably prefer to buy an original part, but I may have to go with the later, larger size and see if I can make them fit.
