Thanks, but I might have to have my head examined.

. It needs Re-chroming, so that would be another $50.00. Almost $300.00 for a bezel is out of the question unless someone here needs a switch, then I could split it with them, and then I would make him an offer. That's Outrageous and Highway Robbery. It'll never sell at that price.

John, it would be great if you could provide some pictures and/or a patent number. This is getting increasingly confusing.

There are many versions of this jack. The base is always the same, the jacks usually are very similar. Most times the only difference is in the part which attaches to the bumper. But I think this is the crucial part.

It seems that Walker supplied jacks for a lot of GM cars in the late 40s and early 50s and therefore produced many versions of the same base model jack.

That would be great to know. Thank you all for your efforts. It does not feel well to be so picky but then it only makes sense to aquire the exactly correct jack. The thing is needed only for authenticity purposes on a concourse-level-sedan.

Thanks a lot but I would want the right one - assuming it is the shown by Bill Ingler and r2law.

It is not really urgent, the friend I am asking for wants it for looks only anyway.

Do you have some background on your jack? What is the source?
