Could someone be kind enough to post a good pic of a gen-you-whine 1970 Fleetwood hubcap?
When the Ark is gone for months, I may as well try to work with the hubcaps.

thanks so much,

I’m sorry, I don’t have an image, but all 1970 RWD wheel covers were the same

Thanks Dave.
So there's a black circle around the center and another black circle on the outer edge? Am I seeing that correctly?

Laurie, in addition to the two black circles, there were black lines radiating outward from about 2/3 to the well in the cover. The photos show these, sort of.

Do you need any mint ones?

Brian I would *LOVE* mint ones, not in the budget.
The paint and brush are already paid for though! LOL!

The center crests are sold as replacements and they are actually better than original.  They are the easiest least costly way to really spruce up your hub caps.  I buy the hub caps on e-bay, 3 and 4 at a time for low cost and there is always 2 or 3 of them that are in real nice shape, especially when faded aluminum center crest s replaced.

Hi Scot,
yeah the crests are the 'easy' part, I wanted to get the hubcaps themselves as original as possible with the black paint.

Laurie, I'm sure you can get the black circles and lines. You seem to have a lot pf patience, which will come in handy.

Divide and conquer. It is gonna be a long winter. Count out the lines, figure out how many per sit down, how long a sit down and pace yourself. Use a solvent to degrease the surface.

The thing to remember is the same with any paint work. Don't magnify the flaws in your mind, you are the only one who knows/sees them.

Go to Michaels and find a brush with the closest exact width and use that.

It doesn't have to be perfect, nothing is. Perfection is a state of mind, not a state of being.
