WTB 1976 Eldorado Engine Control Unit (ECU)

Looking to buy an ECU for a fuel-injected 1976 Eldorado with a 500 cu in. engine. The part number is either 1608340 (California) or 1608339. Let me know what you got!

Bruce Roe "bcroe" on this site can supply an ECU which will work for the 76 500. He can either fix your core or he has recently started to convert some later ECU's into units which will work and fit the '76 500 application. He's not a big fan of "PM" through the site but he has posted his contact information. If he sees this he will also reply. If he doesn't see it I will send him the link.

What is wrong with yours or would you simply like to have an extra? Bruce highly recommends having an extra and swapping it out each year (main and the spare) so that you know they are working because they have been known to go bad sitting on the shelf. He can also supply an external fuel pump relay so that less needs to be running through the ECU itself. It sounded like a good preventative measure so I installed one in my 79 Eldorado.
