My big criticism of Bill Hirsch paint is that it is very slow to dry. 24 hours and this is still tacky.

I probably should not have bothered yet. 20250320_173721.jpg

And there's no baking instructions to it?

So I dropped off my distributor for rebuild. The guy said there is no actual charge.

He advertises a price to just get serious people. But he is retired and does it just to keep from getting bored.

I stopped by Inline Tube a week ago to negotiate with them to make a longer version of their current 61 Fuel lines. It was a pain at the time, but it looks like they did exactly as I asked. Now I hope I gave them appropriate directions.

The additional length is not bent. But I knew that and it is not what I asked for. Originally I wanted 20 inches from the last bend. We settled on 15 inches from the very end because he could not see the last bend on his 2D print for one of the lines. I told him they were a matched pair and had similar bends. But decided it was not worth arguing.

Note on the remade lines they have the same bends.

Well the tubes are a couple of inches longer then they needed to be. But it doesnt harm anything and works fine.

I will need to fine tune the placement of the rear ends. But I will wait until I have a fuel tank and sending unit for that.

I picked up my rebuilt distriutor today. We spun it up to 5000rpm and the advance was perfect along the way.

I bought an AC water pump core off of ebay. I want to have a replacement on hand for main components.

It was crusty looking. But the casting is actually in a less corroded condition then my current one.

I am currently running off of a generator. So I bead blasted until my compressor tank was empty.

When I feel I have cash to spare this, with two fuel pumps, will be shipped off to AG Rebuilders for restoration.

My power is back. 4 full days out.

So I managed to get a little more cleaning on the water pump core. I know they will boil it and clean it during rebuild. But I wanted to get a good picture of what I have to work with.
