Polishing Grille Emblems For The Chrome Plater '37 LaSalle

    I've gone about as far as I can go in tapping out dents and straightening the
grille emblems on my '37 LaSalle so now I'm getting an education in getting them
ready for the platers.
   The V-8 emblems will get gold plated, then painted red in the proper places.
    The winged emblems will get chrome plated and painted in a couple spots as well.
There's another emblem that goes on top of the wings, looks like it has a dog and a star in it, and working on these fits the description of tedious.
   I have to make them all shine perfectly before sending the the platers so lots of work ahead. I bought an inexpensive Harbor Freight Foredom style tool and it is working well. I just HATE to support Harbor Freight as that means I am supporting
a Communist regime, but the Foredom tools are $300 plus and the HF was $50. What a shame we've become so dependent on the Chinese.
   Pictured you'll see some of the sanding discs I'm using and not shown are the Bristle Discs (think flap wheel) that work great in grits of 320-600-1200.
   I haven't used any power tools on the V-8 emblems and won't. All hand work only thus far.
