What's along the other wall?  Cars we are not allowed to post pics of here?   Where is the work area?

Look at all that space that could be packed with more stuff. Or am I the only one thinking that?   I would have shelves along the back probably with the intention of some sort of nice display but I'm sure that wouldn't last and before long they would be packed solid with something.

Pulled the 1956 Rochester 4bbl carburetor and sent it out for remanufacturing.  It's been rebuilt numerous times and the car still bogs down accelerating from idle.  So we'll see how this does coming back like a new carburetor.  I sent it to Carburetor USA in Blackwood, NJ.

I finished changing the water pump on my '41, replaced hoses, belts, and clamps with period correct. Then cleaned the ends of the grounds. A short time back I changed the oil, greased all 19 fittings, added some Penrite to the steering box, checked other fluids.  Ready for spring. Starting the 49 next.

My son-in-Law and I got the carburetor back together and onto the '56 yesterday.  It started right up.  Nice to have the car running so smoothly and a quick startup.  CARBS USA did a great job and I recommend them to you.  It was a nice tribute after returning yesterday from the funeral of Bruce Warren of Bruce Warren Auto Repair in Norfolk Bruce Warren.  He was inspiring us from above!

Well, where do I begin?
1965 FW 60. Owned by an FBI agent in the early 1970s.
Lots of bad wiring needed fixing. So unusual!
All 4 vent windows work now. (FBI-approved pistol ports).
New wheel bearings and brake pads. Pulls gently to the left when stomping on them from 100 mph.

Glove box will open...but wont shut yet. Replace with steel gun safe?
Interior lights work now....for some odd reason.
New Diamondback WW shoes. Gotta handle those high speed corners.
New single factory exhaust...quiet for stakeouts.
Bullet hole fixed and painted.

GM had a glove box problem for many years. Frustrating as it should have been a simple thing to figure out but happened across the various makes.

Was the bullet hold going into the car or coming out of it?  We had a 1j971 Vista Cruiser with a bullet hole going up through the roof from the passenger front seat. It was a winter car (with W-30 455) and didn't leak so we left it as-is. Former owner indicated he was cleaning his gun when it happened.  Un huh...
Enjoy life - it has an expiration date.

Building a patch panel for the front fender skirt area of the quarter panel. This is two pieces welded together. The long part of the wheel opening gets welded to this, then the whole mess will be welded to the car.

Bullet hole was in the trunk right side going in.

Was finally able to get a collage of the 50s coupes in one photo.  1950-1959.  Its neat to see the subtle and dramatic changes from a mere 10 years.  Now I can't tell the difference between at Cadillac Escalade and a Chevy Tahoe.  Time to up the ante there Cadillac.  Get back to your roots.

Agreed. Modern vehicles are so nondescript. I think it is the Tesla that has a distinctive front as no grille, but most cars bascially look the same from about 20 feet out. That is why even if I had money, I would probably not buy a new Cadillac. In the old days they were a statement recognized by other users of the road when they saw a Cadillac, even if parked. Like, who wants a status symbol if it is not immediately recognizable? That is a no brainer. So yes, "up the ante" and "get back to your roots" Cadillac, as Tim said. Clay/Lexi
