You have to be careful on the interchange here.  The pitch on the pinion gear (clutch, starter in proper Cad talk) changed from 38 and back to 39 and up.  I think the basic starter will interchange but not sure.  You don't find out this kind of thing without bad experiences.  New pinion gears are readily available to interchange.
