Hi all - I'm looking to get my A/C system operative.  I think I will need a fender-mounted hot gas bypass valve (and maybe a few other odds and ends).  Would anyone happen to have an extra?

Unless yours is missing, Old Air in Texas can rebuild the one you have along with supply pretty much everything else you need.  And yes, they do ship to Canada.

Unfortunately mine is missing, along with the compressor.

Trevor,

I should have those parts.  It's going to take me 2-3 weeks to get into my storage building where these parts are.
There were different variations of the lines and the bypass valve.  Some early cars had them fender mounted like the 59's and others are mounted right to the compressor.  The one I think I have is the compressor with the hot gas bypass valve mounted to it.

If you haven't found anything by the time I look we can discuss.

Thanks,

Brian

Thanks Brian - let me know what you have.  Would you have the compressor with the by-pass mounted to it?  If I am going the "all original" route, I think that is what my car originally came equipped with. I  also think I would need the rear compressor mount, but would need to confirm.  Let me know what you have.  Thanks!

Thanks.  I also need the by-pass valve.  This looks to be just the compressor - do you also have the by-pass valve?

Thanks Bruce.  It sounds like I could either go the fender mount route or go with the by-pass valve on a decent compressor (not sure what would be involved in rebuilding a compressor if that was required). Let me know what you have.  Thanks again!
