I have a somewhat rough arm if someone else has a knob. 
1956 Sedan Deville (current)

My car was missing both of the knobs, the shifter and the turn signal knob. I ended up using aftermarket ones that I had left in stock from an old business my parents used to own. Not original but functional.

I have a very nice lever...NO pits, bright chrome.  It has the inner ferrule, but not the plastic or the end knob.  The plastic is broken off after about 1/4".

I also have NOS plastic knobs in green, blue and tan.

I have a  turn signal lever knob in ivory, also NOS.
