Hello everyone. Welcome to the October issue. This month is our annual Cadillac Nationals, this year being held in Raglan â€" a ‘surfie town’ on the West coast. At typing this, I am told there are some 46 members registered â€" that’s a terrific number and should mean a good turnout of Caddies! It sounds as if this year’s ‘Fun Auction’ will be a beauty too. Noeleen Souber from Taranaki has created and donated an amazing Cadillac picture, to be auctioned (see picture in mag). Meantime, Pres. Ian is donating some new left-over auto gear from a ’32 project. If you have anything Cadillac, Elvis, or old-car related (including memorabilia/ car books etc.) don’t chuck it out bring along your no longer loved item â€" it might be someone else’s treasure! A Raffle is also to be had. Thanks to the Thrupps for donating a bottle of ‘Glava’ â€" sure to be a sought after delight for someone! The ‘theme’ this year is ‘Surfie’ so Hawaiian shirts could be the order of the day? Maybe over the top of your puffer-jacket! With luck we maybe in Level One by then and of course we will be enjoying ‘Day-light saving’- hooray!

Our thoughts continue to be with all those going through a second wave of Covid-19. We here in NZ have also suffered the same and Auckland has encountered several bad community clusters whilst the rest of NZ has endured the occasional case. Also our prays are with our US members who may have suffered loss due to the Californian and Oregon fires, whilst hurricanes have hit other States.

•   And don’t forget your subs are due. If you have an annual auto payment like me, then I don’t have to think twice. For everyone else, please internet bank your sub. Details in mag. NOTE >> It is possible that this time next year, none of the NZ Banks will accept cheques anymore, so maybe it is timely to set up an auto payment with your bank. •   And as always, plenty of colour.

Go for a cruise, take a pic (even your Caddy on a deserted road or even in your driveway â€" maybe a great Kodak moment?), remembering to try and make them either ‘Large’ on your phone or 2+MB (no more than 5MB) on your camera (or cell phone), is always good!
